Homemade Ginger + Turmeric Immunity Shots
(aka: welcome to cold & flu season 🫠)
As soon as cold and flu season hits, this is one of the simple things we do in our house to try to stay ahead of it. A very simple daily habit that supports our immune system and makes us feel like we’re doing something proactive.
These immunity shots are packed with vitamin C, anti-inflammatory compounds, and ingredients that support immune function - especially when stress, poor sleep, or daycare germs are doing the most (tis the season)!!
We take one shot every morning, especially during the fall and winter months!
Why These Ingredients Matter
Oranges & lemons: loaded with vitamin C for immune support
Fresh ginger: anti-inflammatory, supports digestion and circulation
Fresh turmeric: powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant
Kiwi (skin on): adds sweetness to balance the ginger + turmeric and provides a hit of vitamin C to support immune function
Black pepper: crucial because it activates turmeric (increases absorption of curcumin by up to 2000%)
Cayenne pepper: supports circulation and gives a gentle immune boost
This combo is spicy, potent, and meant to be taken in small amounts - not sipped like juice.
